Commission information for portrait painting
The first meeting with the client will ascertain the pose, clothing and setting. It is at this stage that I take photographs for reference and make preliminary sketches. At my studio I work on the drawing to size and once approved, I will start work on the painting. The painting process will take from 8 to 10 weeks to complete.

At the drawing approval stage I will invoice 30% of the total fee. Final payment is due on completion and presentation of the portrait.

Portraits can also be painted from direct observation and sittings. Details on request.

Small portrait 41 x 51cm Oil on canvas £2,500
Medium Portrait 64 x 76cm Oil on canvas £4,500
Large portrait 76 x 102cm Oil on canvas £8,000
Charcoal or pencil drawing
Head and shoulders from £800
Half length from £1,000
 
Double and group portraits will be quoted separately.
Prices quoted do not include framing costs or travel expenses.
